In Berserk , the dying Judeau can only tell Casca that she cries a lot, and dies regretting that he couldn’t confess how he really felt about her. In the Bleach pilot, Orihime who died from falling down the stairs considers confessing to Ichigo just before leaving for the Soul Society, but the spirit of her father advises against it, as it would only make Ichigo suffer. In the Distant Finale of Bokura no Hentai , Mai plans on confessing her feelings for Marika before she graduates, knowing they’re unrequited. She instead tearfully congratulates Marika on graduating. At the end of “The Second Raid” Kaname has travelled all the way to Hong Kong to make a Love Confession to Sousuke after first beating him up for all the angst he’s put her through but chickens out at the last second. Except that it never seems to be played as anything final, Kaoru of Hayate the Combat Butler does this while he and Yukiji are visiting Italy during Golden Week. He starts confessing, and then decides that he just can’t do it, so he changes the end of the sentance to be about her little sisters’ relationship status.

Fortunately, the third time proved to be the charm: Laughs Is that the thing out there in Pasadena? I really enjoyed it. It was a nice way to kind of resolve the way of Nate being in prison and set up his state of mind for the new season. Now, obviously, the writers are the ones who had the idea to go this way with Nate, but what was the reaction of the cast when the idea came about? They had this idea that…I remember hearing it very early from John Rogers, I think, who actually quoted the line to me when we started Season 2.

Leverage follows a five-person team: Season 1 to 4 Consists of thirteen episodes, which writers John Rogers and Chris Downey and producer Dean Devlin intended to be a complete story should the series not be renewed. Nathan Ford is a former insurance investigator with an intricate knowledge of scams.

He and his team act as modern-day Robin Hoods, staging elaborate cons for clients victimized by an individual or corporation with the wealth and influence to avoid reprisal within the legal system. The team comes together when Victor Dubenich, a wealthy aerospace executive, persuades Ford to lead a team of talented criminals to steal back aeronautical plans allegedly stolen from him by a competitor.

After a successful heist, Dubenich double-crosses them, withdrawing their payment and attempting to blow them up in an abandoned warehouse. In retaliation, the group decides to run a con on Victor, eventually exposing his corruption and implicating him in a bribery attempt, which leads to his being arrested by the FBI. When the con is complete, rather than retire, they decide to keep working for the thrill each gets doing the work they are best at, and the added bonus of how effective they are as part of an elite team.

Ford’s condition for continuing is that he is allowed to select their jobs, steering them from crimes engaged in for pure profit to jobs undertaken to benefit those with a genuine need who cannot use the legal system or other “legitimate” methods to redress their grievances. Underpinning the main plot are two relationships: Nate and Sophie, whose complicated romantic relationship dates back to his days as an insurance investigator, and Parker and Hardison, whose nascent romance plays out tentatively, as they learn how to build a relationship.

With Sterling determined to take them down, they pull their most daring heist by stealing a maquette from Nate’s former boss, Ian Blackpoole.

We steal it back for you. And sometimes, bad guys make the best good guys. Timothy Hutton stars as Nate Ford, an insurance investigator known for his ability to recover stolen goods for his employer. However, after the firm denies insurance claims for his dying son, Ford decides to go against the corporate world taking freelance jobs.

Ford is soon hired by an aeronautics executive in order to recover stolen designs. He enlists the help of the best thieves and grifters in the business, and with their help, he steals from the rich and gives to the poor to help balance the crooks in high power positions.

Leverage is one of my favorite shows. I started season 5 and when they said they were dating I kind of screeched out loud depending on my mood for the day lol. Every character is great, but those three were by far the best and the Parker/Hardison ship was so cute! The writing for their relationship was so well done and I was so happy to.

In “Leverage” a band of five misfits, each with a unique set of skills, are brought together due to circumstance and end up forming one of the world’s most notorious criminal teams. However, they work for victims of corrupt organizations and fight to give back what has been taken from them. His cohorts include Sophie Devereaux Gina Bellman , a brilliant grifter; Eliot Spencer Christian Kane , a retrieval specialist; Alec Hardison Aldis Hodge , a gadget and technology wizard; and Parker Beth Riesgraf , a slightly off-center thief adept at rappelling off buildings.

In the fourteenth episode of the fourth season of Leverage, the boys have a night out. This show is an endless gift. Parallels The very idea of this episode is clever all by itself, but the way the writers tie them together makes this a rewarding experience. Both episodes follow a character from a past episode coming back to interact with the main cast, and in both cases, those characters grow. Peggy and Jack matter to these stories!

In one of the most adorable scenes EVER, Eliot does an absolutely terrible job trying to give advice to Hardison about what he needs to do with Parker.

After Leverage relocates to Portland, Hardison begins off the tour of the new headquarters (which he titled Leverage Incorporated) by saying that Parker and him have been dating in their time off, ultimately showing that they both felt the same way about each other.

Plot[ edit ] Nathan “Nate” Ford is a former insurance investigator and the leader of a team staging elaborate cons for clients victimized by those holding wealth and influence to avoid legal reprisal. The team comes together when Victor Dubenich, a wealthy aerospace executive, persuades Ford, disgraced and an alcoholic after the death of his son, to lead a team of talented criminals to steal aeronautical plans allegedly stolen from him by a competitor.

After a successful heist, Dubenich withholds their payment and attempts to have them killed, whereupon they implicate him in a bribery attempt, which leads to his arrest by the FBI. Thereafter, they practice similar deceptions to avenge civilians who cannot use the legal system to redress their grievances. Subplots include Nate’s struggle with alcoholism, his complicated relationship with grifter Sophie Devereaux and the budding romance between hacker Alec Hardison and thief Parker.

In response, they steal a collection of valuable art from Nate’s former boss, Ian Blackpoole, returning it in exchange for Blackpoole being kicked out of his own company, and disband for six months. Season 2 begins in Boston, Nate’s hometown.

Of course, considering their Relationship Upgrade status, there wasn’t really anything ‘fake’ about it. When Rainbow Dash is investigating the possibility that Applejack is Third Kira, the latter acts flirty and kisses her So Kunsel dresses Cloud in a Second Class outfit and kisses him to trick Sephiroth into thinking he stumbled upon horny soldiers rather than look into it.

Then an elderly couple sees them together, so rather than attempt to kill each other in front of witnesses, they kiss instead. Film — Live Action James Bond:

Hardison’s and Parker’s relationship develops into a romantic one as time goes on, but it is fraught with personal (and physical) complications. Christian Kane as Eliot Spencer, called “The Hitter”, is the team’s highly skilled martial artist, weapons expert, and self-described “retrieval specialist”.

Like most characters on the show, there’s a lot of gaps in her backstory. We do know that she has been a thief since childhood, that she had a mentor with the improbable name of Archie Leach Richard Chamberlain , and that she lived some of her life in foster care. We don’t know if Parker is her first name, her last name, or an alias. Parker is a woman who presents herself with what is, for US television, a very nontraditional gender performance as well as an awkward socialization.

John Rogers, the show runner, has made several comments about limiting the number of times Parker wore a dress on the show. Fans got to see where Parker lives in the episode, The Inside Job. Her “lair” is a nearly unfurnished windowless warehouse-style building with a stockpile of her favourite foods. She expresses a comfort level with violence very close to Eliot Spencer ‘s. Fandom Parker is a quirky, unusual character, with a very unusual background.

One is a plot focused piece that uses the song and the canon , and adds to it, to create a plausible poly story.

The second is a character study, at once a celebration of the characters’ individuality, and also an examination of their team dynamic as revealed by the canon and flavoured by the song. The almost vulgar line from the song, “I wanna go where he’s been,” leads the viewer to see Uhura as primarily someone that Kirk wants, even though he is seeing her in all her aspects–beautiful, full of humour, intelligent, talented–the list goes on and on.

Gradually the story changes, and while still from Kirk’s POV, now he is seeing Uhura more the way Spock sees her, utilizing the canon relationship from the film to broaden Kirk’s view of Uhura into a more complete person. The song gives us the line, “I want you and I want him,” at nearly the half-way point of the vid, and the view abruptly changes to Kirk’s focus on Spock.

We see Spock the way Kirk does–as an adversary, a rival, a compatriot, a fellow adventurer, nearly, but not quite yet, friends. The line, “I wanna know what he knows,” brings the original Trek universe Spock into play. The ending shots of the vid are the new Kirk, the one that knows what TOS Spock felt, with both Uhura and Spock, and we see them as a team that works together and could now be three together in all ways. Each of these opening sections uses both the lyrics and the video to illuminate three very unique individuals.

Or as stable as any group containing these three gets.

The team attempts to steal the egg by first locating in, then retrieving it. Eliot and Hardison are able to find the egg, and Parker steals it with Sterling as a distraction. Unfortunately, Nate and Maggie are captured by the security guards.

After meeting the client, the Leverage team researches the villains to find a weakness to exploit. Each con, either as originally planned or as complications develop, typically requires the specialized skills of all the members of the group. Towards the end of each episode, the villains seem to get the upper hand, only to be outwitted by the Leverage team.

More often, the flashbacks reveal new information the viewer has not been privy to. This formula is followed by every episode in seasons one, two, and three.
